Inquiry into treatment of individuals suspected of people smuggling - Transcripts of Hearing for Commonwealth agencies 

As part of the Inquiry into the treatment of individuals suspected of people smuggling offences

who say that they are children, the Commission held a public hearing in Canberra over 19-20

April for the following Commonwealth agencies:

·         Department of Immigration and Citizenship

·         Australian Federal Police

·         Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions

·         Attorney-General’s Department.

 Transcripts of the Hearing for Commonwealth agencies are now available on the Age Assessment Inquiry page of the Commission’s website at http://www.humanrights.gov.au/ageassessment/index.html.
